Passed the Flex 3 with AIR Certification Exam
I end full time work with my current employer on January 31, so I wanted to get the Flex 3 with AIR certification on my resume. I passed, but it is obvious which section nearly torpedoed me! I was confident I had only missed seven… maybe eight of the fifty questions. I’d love to have been able to review which ones I missed, but since that isn’t an option, I’ll revisit the reference books while it is still fresh.

Congrats!
I’m studying for that at the moment and am hoping that getting certified will increase my chance of employment. I find that Flex 3: Training from the source is a really good book. Can I ask what resources you used and how long you spent on preparation. Obviously, everyone has different learning abilities but it’s always nice to know!

Thanks, Jase. I read some chapters from Breaking Out of the Web Browser with Adobe AIR. However, given my score on that section, I’m not sure the authors would want me promoting their fine book.
I guess I would recommend reviewing the official documentation that covers the specific subtopics outlined in the PDF preparation guide. If it lists constraint-based layout (and it does), you can bet you will be asked about the various ways of doing that.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll revisit the guide.

Hey congrats…!!!!
Hey what was the material you have prepared to get the certification done. I am going through Flex3: Training from source, is this book enough to pass the flex 3 certification? Or do i need to go through any other book.
